Best remap option for F10 M5 (UK)

Hi all

Interested in tuning my M5 and wanted to get feedback from users who have done it in the UK. It seems there are 2 main options, Evolve and DMS. What are the main differences between the two and which one would you say is better?

Also, are there other ones that are worth a mention?

Hi ,

If you're interested, we also have a DME tune for this application which doesn't require the use of a box but i imagine shipping to the UK would not be affordable

I'd say both were good options and differences, I'd summarise as negligible....just my opinion.

I've had DMS for the last 13,000 miles.

Car flies and no issues.

Thanks bud. Did you get the stage 1 or 2?

Have you noticed any component wearing out faster than expected? And how's the traction with the extra power?

Stage 2

The car is only 13 months old and 17,000 miles so not much time / miles on it to make any real comparisons in terms wear rates.

Traction ? What traction ?

To be honest if treated as a super high torque rear wheel drive car, with progressive throttle inputs etc etc it works well and you can make rapid progress. But yes you need to be pretty handy with car control if you want to start giving it aggressive and large throttle openings ..but that's fun I suppose.

120 mph to 200 mph is fine, with plenty of traction

Hahaha !!

No one said anything about 'small' throttle openings......rather 'progressive' throttle openings

Best price and service by far, and only £399, you'll need to just send them your ECU's, is easy

I think if I were to decide to re-calibrate my car, I'd be tempted to also put a call into the Dinan guys - hang the expense of getting it across the Pond; from what I understand (and I've not spent a lot of time looking into it - like you say, traction at the moment is just laughable, even stock), Dinan are very highly regarded, long history in BMW tuning. Funnily enough, was also watching Steve Dinan on the /Drive channel on YouTube the other morning whilst eating breakfast.

Dinan is still a piggy (and very expensive) an actual ECU tune is better, also you'd be surprised at how tyre choice can transform your fun to be had, im running close to 800-BHP now and can grip in 2nd onwards, sometimes some of 1st if there warm enough

I'm not sure. You might be able to do it with a WiFi agent. If you're on Facebook check out bootmod3.
