Excellent German Quality

G’day
Zimmerman are not OEM but are just as good as OEM Brake Discs (if not better).

I’ve used these on my older Bmw and they are excellent German quality . One of the generic problems with Bmw Discs is that they are usually made of a “softer” metal and tend to wear at greater rates.

In a performance vehicle I much prefer my brake disc’s to be made with a “harder” iron (metal composition) and appropriate brake pads.

Cheers
Bruce

Mine are a polished alloy and are shiny, although that doesn't last long unfortunately

Be good to hear how you get on with them

When mine were done they also replaced both screws that hold on the disks to the hub, maybe worth doing for what they cost

I spoke to a guy here in Oz who races a 130i as I have one also for the track. He says that they are just as good as factory ones and that he normally sends other discs to get heat treated but no need for Zimmermans.

So yes just as good

Let us know the braking performance after you've run them in and what pads are you planning to fit.

excellent. had them installed just over a year now.
holding up well and seem better resistance to the elements than OEM.

Very Nice! They look so much better without all the rust of the original rotors without coating at the vent areas. I have a set all round at a good price and they will go on with the next pad change. Presumably youre also happy with the EBC red stuff combo too?
