The gains are there while rolling. I would make my own. That's what I did. Just go to a hardware store and I'm sure you'll find what you need to make two.

I made my own for about $20. I used a piece of cardboard as a template and once I had the right design, I transferred this to a piece of sheet metal bought at a local hardware store.
The only difference I detected is with a reduction of heat soak at low speeds. Surprisingly, when the cooling fan is on, some air is being pulled out of the intakes even though there is enough air to run the engine. A smoke test in the air filter box verified this phenomenon. Intake air temps are not rising as fast at a stop light with the scoops installed. https://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=22899650 |

it's not even about gains. . they look cool behind the grill. and they definitely direct more air at any speed. i bought the afe scoops. they are legit carbon fiber and they snap on and fit absolutely perfectly. see pics AFE also makes the best high-quality dry filter in my opinion I guess you've had good luck with your k&n? I was advised against ever using an oiled filter in this car or any car really..and I can't say I disagree or have any complaints scoops- https://emnotek.com/products/afe-car...SABEgJ8SPD_BwE filter- https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...iABEgLFl_D_BwE theyre sold on other sites too. I didnt worry with aftermarket intakes after research bc of problems with MAFs ive heard a lot about .. plus an exposed air filter in this car will result in heat soak possibly if not surely at times. The best aftermarket air intakes are basically just a copy of the OEM just with fancier material like carbon fiber and the box has a scoop of some sort { dinan and eventuri} i have afe filter, afe scoops, downpipes, no charcoals, no tune .. and I promise you my turbos sing and they are not starved for air one bit |

One thing is for sure dry air filter and these scoops feeding up to 70-80% more air to them i dont think it make that much difference the heat soak people talk about. And btw i agree with you the turbos scream... |

These are how mine look like. And I would rather spend the 300$ other things. And know one needs to know that they're there 😉.
