100k recommended maintenance 14th M5 CP

Hi folks,

My 2014 M5 CP will hit 100k next week. I am planning on tearing into the top end to replace both valve cover gaskets (leaking) and am going to install the 90C thermostat.

Does anyone know the recommended 100k maintenance?
The official maintenance recommendation from BMW as well as suggestions from experienced owners?

Thanks

I didn't look up the BMW recommendation but honestly it doesn't matter what they say by the time you start getting up past 75k. You need to know the history of what's been done in the past and go off of that. Basically at 100k I would change all of the fluids but if you just changed some more recently then it doesn't make sense to do them again. Same applies to filters and spark plugs.

Outside of those usual items, I would address leaks (like you mentioned already) and take a thorough review of the suspension. Inspect tires for signs of inappropriate wear due to alignment issues, etc.

Congrats on the milestone! Not many have hit that mileage yet.

Edit to add: I just thought about this a little more. At 100k I would replace the MAF's and precat (primary) O2's if they haven't been changed before.

Thanks so much!

I actually am pretty deep into the engine right now and will start a thred on my experience.

In brief, the dealer diagnosed as valve cover leaks, but I am finding oil at and around the turbos as well as the oil filler neck.

A BMW mechanic that is a friend of mine is helping to diagnose.
I plan on removing more of the heat shielding to get a better view of the source of the oil leak.
We shall see.
I am crossing my fingers that I dont need new turbos.
