Do you have to buy extra clamps (the ones that go over the DME coolant lines) in order to put the DME's back on?
Found them for a few bucks here https://getbmwparts.com/parts/2013/B...iagram=1913131 |

When I installed BCM behind the passenger side intercooler I was able to reuse the hose clamps that are crimp style (I had to because I didn't know I needed clamps). Even with boost the clamps have held up to this day. Anyway, I ordered a few of these little ones as they are inexpensive and easy to get. |

We usually reuse the clamps and they look virtually untouched, but in some situations they break and we replace them. There's barely any pressure in that circuit, so even if you slid the lines on, without any kind of clamps, they would likely never fall off. Before we discovered OBD flashing, we never clamped the lines on our two company F10 M5s because the DMEs were removed and reinstalled many times daily for software revisions. You can honestly get away with a zip tie as a temporary solution and you'll never have an issue.
If the customer requests new clamps, we send four new clamps back with their DMEs.

Shoot me a PM or email us with your location and we will refer you to a capable shop in case you aren't able. If you are not comfortable taking things apart it's probably best that you leave it to a professional to avoid issues. A shop will probably only charge an hour or so of labor to remove the ECUs.
