I just flashed mine stage 2 XHP this morning. Seems awesome so far. Will report back with more drive time.

Any difference in how it performs in manual mode or are the changes mainly in auto?
Over all auto feels more "intelligent" and manual feels more solid.

It's $470 for the flash license and map pack together. The map pack comes with all 3 stages. You can't buy them separately unfortunately.

I may be the only one, but I like the fact that you get all 3 map options. That way if you are planning a track day, aggressive drive event, racing, etc., you can swap to map 3. If just dailying it and going WOT every so often, you can choose between map 1 or 2.

Unfortunately tried to get stage 3 map on my non competition but kept failing at 97%-99% not sure why..just wondering if it’s for competition cars only or possibly because I have ghost Immobolizer fitted although I did put it into Valet mode..
Any one else experienced similar issues..contemplating getting ghost removed and try map once again..is it worth the extra hassle for a car that’s not tracked ??

Best to remove it prior flashing it. I was told it will take 30mins to flash, I took my chance for not hooking mine with a stabilizer. It was done in 5 mins from start to finish.

Mine is NON comp and it went fine. Same rules as flashing DME (battery charger, seatbelt clicked, don’t open or close doors while flashing, turn climate control off, turn headlights off)

So a definite yes for flash ?.
Very noticable obvious difference or maybe?
Is it worth the hassle of getting ghost removed and refitted just for the flash and presume it will help with longetivity of gearbox

So I just did the stage 3 and it works fine. It’s not that noticeable in manual mode. It seems to to be smoother shifting and in the correct gear more often than before. One thing that I don’t like is how early it shifts in D1. It up shifts so early, it’s ridiculous. It’s in 7th gear by 45-48 mph. This wouldn’t be a big deal, but we can’t use the shiftmap editor. It’s a feature that I hope they release soon. It would make all the difference being able to have all the drive modes set to you exact likings. I would set D1-3 to downshift from 2nd to 1st quite a bit earlier so it wouldn’t stay in 2nd when you role away from stops without completely stopping. I haven’t messed with the other custom settings yet, but I will soon. Overall I’m happy with it and the peace of mind knowing the clutches are being held with more psi is worth the cost alone.

That quick shifting must be great on mpg right?

Maybe a little but it bogs down the rpm so much that you have to role into the gas more to accelerate at all. This type of mapping worked great with the auto cars that have the 6hp and 8hp trans because the small displacement engines would hold the gears longer than necessary. Those cars make insane low end tq also. Our cars have taller gearing and don't kick down as quickly as those auto cars do, so it just feels unnatural to me. The added throttle input to accelerate moderately may outweigh the mpg benefits of the early shift.

When you say D1 I’m guessing you mean auto mode with shifting set to bar 1 not 2 or 3? If so, I tried this on my M6 which doesn’t have the DCT tune yet and it did the same thing..went back to look over xHPs description of the stage 3 tune and it says that only shifts set a 2 or 3 are changed. Which leads me to believe that D1 remains unchanged, or per factory settings. I never drive in automatic so it’s not a deal breaker for me either way. Glad to hear you’re pleased with the purchase overall, as yes, more clamping pressure makes it a no brainer purchase on stage 2+ cars.

I been running it from the day it released and probably around 1800-2k miles. More noticeable in the drive settings d2 and d3, seems to downshift sooner when coming to the stop but not how I would want it still waiting for the map shift editor to be unlocked that should make it even better, but my clutches seem to hold much better they used to slip when I would drive the car more hard now seems stronger to pull. All in all for $500 its worth it.

^^same. Subtle, but noticeable improvement. Mine is paired with the SSP Spec X and it’s functioning flawlessly.

The app was updated recently to now include the shift map editor.

To those of you asking if this is for the non Competition models, yes, it is. It will work for Competition and non Competition models just fine. When you use the app with your bluetooth OBD adapter or ENET OBD adapter, the app will read your vehicle details and confirm support for your vehicle.
