I talked to DHL and the following rates were offered, the cheapest rate with tracking and insurance is 37€ or appr. $44, without insurance/tracking around $20.
The shipping time will be around 1 - 1.5 months due to sea freight, air carrier will be unreasonably overpriced. Will this be an option for you guys?

How much are we saying when you say unreasonably overpriced for air carrier? A bulk load might help ease the shipping hit.

Good idea, I should have thought about this solution earlier. Would it be possible to ship all keys to one person in the US and this person is then arranging the shipments within the US, will be the cheapest option for everyone by far?
I should be able to ship 10 key sets in one box for around $65 DHL tracked and injured, so basically $6,50 per person. Then the total price for one key set is $275, shipping costs within the US have to be calculated.

Once this point is clarified, I will custom order your key sets, they will be at my house in roughly 5-7 business days. Then check them individually, prepare the main settings, wrap them and add the installation instructions. Of course I will provide pictures and the tracking number.

Yes, your original keys won't be affected at all. This display key represents an additional key. I already had 2 original keys and now I have 3 fully functioning keys.

Is somebody willing to take delivery of the first 10 keys and distribute them within the US?
If not, I can send them individually, but the shipping cost will be pretty steep, as mentioned before.
Please let me know, so I can proceed with ordering the keys and shop them to you guys

It's actually really easy. The communication module will either attach directly to the iDrive controller (LCI model, 07/13 build date and up) or to the high and low can in the front light dome section (some wiring required, pre-LCI model). I will provide installation instructions for every buyer. Hope this helps

If no one else is stepping up I can handle shipping to everyone in the US/Canada. I'll need everyone's addy so I can calculate shipping (need dimensions of box if they are coming individually or I can price out a usps/fedex box of appropriate size). I would assume that we need to calculate that before everyone pays and part of the money would be put towards me shipping the keys out to everyone.

I am fine with that. BTW Blaxwil and I are next door neighbours so some shipping costs may be saved there once they are shipped to the US.

The key programming is actually not such a big deal and I would love to do it for you, but I'm not local and shipping your CAS and original key is not feasible. I'm certain one of the members here will assist you with the programming portion
