Valvetronic - 134F01

Hey all,
I'm trying to help out my parents with their 2014 535i. It had the infamous valvetronic servomotor clicking. Scanned it with ISTA and showed no plausible signal (or something like it). Replaced it with a brand new VDO servomotor.

Upon trying to activate it, it keeps failing with codes
134F01
134F04

So I can't activate the valvetronic learn in procedure and the car is stuck at 3-4k RPM's. No CEL's and these are the only two permanent codes.

Suggestions? Been reading some say that the DME must be replaced because of power supply issue.
I do have it hooked up to my power supply, with 14v showing at terminal 15, since I heard that the motor needs a significant amount of amps to quickly move the eccentric shaft gear.

any ideas? I just replaced the servomotor again and definitely it isn't the part problem. Two brand new ones from FCP.

Hey there. This is the M5 forum so you might not get the best responses.

I have played this game with my past N55. Does the Eccentric shaft rotate freely when you put a wrench on the end of the shaft? Did you lube the motor with the long life grease specified in the procedure? Did you clean or replace the oiler tube for the Valvetronic solenoid?

The Eccentric shaft itself can fail and then in turn cause the solenoid to fail.

Crap, didn't realize I posted this on the m5 section.
But yeah, the shaft rotates freely and use liquimoly's LL grease. Cleaned the oiler tube.

Hmmmm, I wonder if the DME is the issue then. ISTA could be useful here if you have access.

I do have ista. Thats how the dme was not taking the learn limits. It's ista 4.30.4. Tried everything with the test plans it tells me to do, resetting all adaptations including increment wheel, and replacing the part with a brand new one from FCPEuro.

The connection was not making good contact with the servomotor. Not sure if that was actually the problem because I took the valve cover off three times and exchanged the servomotor with FCP. The last time, I said forget it and buttoned the car back up and somehow, the servomotor stopped buzzing and i instantly knew I can program in the limits with ISTA.
