Can somebody explain why Hamilton gave the race away to Russell only? Clearly Mercedes' win has nothing to do with the car, it's all about talent and there's no way Russell us more talented than Hamilton. It's weird how both Russell and Hamilton both decided to turn up their skills to beat RB and Ferrari. I'm confused.

Not really, MKSixer's argument that Hamilton didn't benefit from the best car, which resulted in most of those championships, is just crumbling.

RB should have make that call much earlier and not in the last 20 sec. of the race ...

yeah maybe. But I'm sure there will be some talk tonight about it.
In all fairness, Max also has Checo a lot to thank for in some specific races the last 2 years.

What a fking race. All of the top teams were pretty much in it to the end with the help of a couple of SC/VSC but what a race.

HAM got driver of the day but what a drive by LEC to recover what was a near-DNF.

So we going to talk about VER's radio about not letting PER pass or we going to ignore and move on and not make a big deal out of it when we would criticize Mercedes or Ferrari if they did the same thing?

Remember when everyone was putting PER on a pedestal for Abu Dhabi but VER couldn't even let PER get points that have ZERO significance to you? It's one thing if you need the points or they have some bearing on the outcome of the season but VER/Red Bull have secured EVERYTHING. You couldn't even give PER points so he could try and secure P2 in drivers?

I don't want to hear excuses of being competitive. VER has absolutely nothing to gain - he couldn't let PER pass and help Red Bull secure 1-2 in everything.
