Got my car at 50k miles and sold it at 84k. It was stage two tuned for most of it (stage 1 for a couple of months). It was my daily but I pushed it on the drag strip but mainly at "Mexico".

About 80k of the 100k all from my heavy foot. Stage 2 tuned and no issues to note. Another 12 months or so before the F90 replaces her.

40k on my M6 GC. Bought it with 27k miles. 12k miles of bm3 stage 2 tune. Lots of aggressive driving. Thankfully not a hiccup.

67k

~47k injector failure (covered by BMW)
~50k multiple ignition coils failed at differing mileage
~55k leaky turbo coolant lines (common and covered by BMW)
~60k some transmission switch thing failed that made it to where I couldn’t lock my doors (covered under ext warranty)

Around 64k I just DIYed all spark plugs and ignition coils.

Hopefully I have a good run up to 100k now.

Crossed the 100k miles mark this week

First engine/clutch/transmission
Regular service at BMW dealership
Oil changes every 3-5k miles
Warm up properly and cool down phase after spirited driving on the German Autobahn
Coming up: oil change/injectors/plugs/coils/fluids

So far my M5 has been a super reliable rocket 👍🏻

How are the CCBs holding up with that mileage?

The ceramic pads have been changed one time already, the ceramic discs are still original and don't show massive wear. Since CCBs hardly ever see higher operating temps with regular street driving, they will last a very long time. The only risk is chipping, then it will get expensive quickly.

Congrats on a great running rocket! Curious as to what is considered proper warm up and cool down , can you share what you do? Thanks

Actually fairly simple habits:
1. Start up and move the car right away, I don't let the car sit and idle too long
2. Moderate driving until oil temperature reaches at least 200 degrees F, shifting below 2500 rpms, no hard acceleration, get all fluids to optimal operating condition
3. Slowly increase rpms and then start to put load on the engine
4. After some spirited driving, I cruise around for a while to cool down the turbos, no heavy acceleration

I am the second owner and I know the preowner personally, so I had full access to the whole story of my M5. And it helps longevity a lot if the vehicle was used for long distance trips. I'm not scared of high mileage cars if they were treated correctly.

By chance I was out for a fun drive on the twisty roads when I looked down at the dash and noticed something... 130001

I bought this car with the intent to put miles on it. A lot of miles. Success. It's a rocket, completely bonkers, also comfortable and (in my experience) unbelievably reliable.

Pulled over and took a photo. I don't do car photos very often - so of course the gas lid was open.

To 140 and beyond.
