Replacing serpentine belts

Hello,
Is there one or two belts? How often do you recommend to change? Thanks

I would assume they were part of the service interval, either every 60.000km/37.000mi or every 3rd service (6 years), whatever comes first.

I am looking for info on how to replace the serpentine belts rather than the interval.

I think it's possible to replace the main belt from the top without removing anything

So it appears from belt can be done from underneath but the smaller one i cant see an idler tension pulley

I just did my e60 belts today from underneath (not fun very tight that m5), so wondering if the f10 can be done as easily or is it dealer job

I had a closer look, its very tight and fan had to come out
I tried but got too difficult so didnt proceed
The ac belt harmonic balancer pulley needs to have 3 screw removed and turned to loosen tension

Ill leave them until major service and bmw can do it
