I'll give that a try as it looks to be in my neck of the woods.

Unfortunately I don't fill up that often as my F10 isn't my 'daily', but next time it will be on the cards.

Texaco website has a PDF of locations of stockists - looks to be some in the South and South East too?

According to those locations there's one close by to me about 4 miles away.

Be wary of the small Shell station in South Croydon on Brighton road, if you stay there more than 15 min you get a PCN in the post, how nice of them...not.

Sunak has said he'll end the war on the motorist before he became PM, we'll see if he keeps that promise and not let it go under the carpet like with the last woman that left.
Waiting when he'll reduce fuel tax for starters.

Texaco 99 Performance E5 is the best one for your M, it's 1.80 around my way and finally found a station that stocks it.
Texaco 97 Supreme is alongside it but is E10 so no good for the M.

*edit
Just saw 97 Supreme with E5 now on a pump, ok for the CLK.
Gov.rulings now mean the new Texaco 99 Supreme Performance + could now have ethanol added, another up to date test is needed. If it has then you're better off with Tesco M99 price wise.

Well I found another test for the Texaco 99 Supreme, this recent one being done in May and the Texaco 99 Supreme contained no ethanol then.

Just wanted to share an update - I have been exclusively using the Texaco Performance 99 petrol and it is really brilliant.

To compare I did fill my tank with a regular Sainsburys petrol and added a bottle of petrol additive from Redex, run a few miles to get the feeling - there was none. Any savings were literally evaporated as lower spec petrol seems to burn faster or not holding up regardless of the additive.

I then filled the tank with the Texaco 99 and the difference was eye watering. Efficiency, cleaner function, better throttle response. No comparison. I get it is more expensive but imo it is worth it.

Glad you found a station that sells it, only a selection of all the UK texaco stations have it from the list they have.

Tbh mate when I was looking up my local Texaco they were not showing as point of sale for this type petrol.

I was passing by a random day and needed refuel anyway so I went in and the pump was there. 1 pump out of 10 or so..

My point is if you happen to be passing by your Texaco, perhaps it's worth taking a look in case they have it...

One station not far from me but not exactly down the road was on the list but despite a visit there there was no Tex 99! I got in touch on-line with Tex and after a few email exchanges they finally, admitted there was a 'problem' and are having new pump stickers? made up. I did tell them with the new fuel you need a new hole made to keep the fuel in haha
Instead if 'issing about looking for it I asked them to tell me a stockist nearest to me.

Thinking about it more it's a bit worrying if you are actually getting the tex fuel you pay for as with the mix up with stickers to the one near me.
Inspectors can shut a station down if fuel is found to be wrongly marked or is contaminated in some way, at this particular one there appeared to be no new hole built for the 99, when I asked he didn't reply !! I think I'll stick to Momentum99 for the moment.

Why do they need a new tank for 99? They could have run one of the tanks down and now be fully filled with 99 no?!

All the tanks are allocated to the fuel grades and diesel so they would have to do another hole for the 99 being a new fuel, one for diesel, one for 95 ULD,one for 97ULD and a new hole for the new 99.

Apart from finishing the tank from previous owner, I've only ever put in 95 RON, from the cheapest place I can find.
It runs perfectly, and it's not like we need the last couple of bhp!
I think you might be worrying about nothing.

^ It does say to use 98 RON on the fuel flap for a reason.

The manual says to use 98 to achieve nominal performance and economy.
It also says 95 is OK to use.
It's no skin off bmw's nose for the customer to use more expensive fuel, but the economy benefit doesn't cover the cost difference so I guess it's up to you if the last % of performance is worth the cost.

^ Good for you buddy but you're down on power and detergents using cheap 95. I wouldn't buy an M car from anyone knowing they were running it on that long term and all 95 fuels are now E10 which is said to damage rubber and other seals.

The car is designed and tested to be used with e10 95ron, why would you be put you off buying one used as such?
Makes me laugh that people won't put e10 in their cars, but then get it mapped to use e85. .

Anyway, I'm not trying to be argumentative, just offering the point of view that people don't need to be concerned about what fuel they use. It's not like putting cheap oil in.

Yeah no sweat lol we even use E5 99 in our other cars reading about the well publicised seals warning from using E10 gas, just thinking of the seals in a E90 V8, is it worth taking the risk for a few quid less? This new Texaco 99 Supreme performance gas has no ethanol in it which is even better but the stations that stock it are few and far between.

I've been running 10% eth in mine since I bought it 5 years ago. So far, no issues. Long may that continue. I am comforted to some degree by the fact that the label on the inside of the filler cap indicates that 10% ethanol can be used
