Defoulers for emissions
Has anyone with catless dps tried putting defoulers on the downstream o2 sensors to pass emissions on the f1x platform? I saw a thread about it for the 3 and 4 series and it seemed pretty simple quick and cheap. Then I tried to get a local mechanic to do it and tried to charge me 400 for 2-3 hours of labor. Is this accurate? Is t there a better method I don’t know about? Also is this something I can do myself? Ive never been afraid of getting my hands greasy

Defaulters work, but you need to stuff them with steel wool. Most come with a small hole prior to the extension, but stuffing it packed with thick steel wool is best.

Hm it’s very interesting you say this. I actually ordered the mini Cats from bigdaddiesgarage and in theory that should be the perfect solution since they actually have that honeycomb. We’ll find out by Wednesday when they come in!

Also looking for some insight. I tried the spacers in different sizes and no luck. I will be trying the ones with honey comb looking insert next but doubt it will work.
