Looks like McLaren is putting the same engine (M838T) on all 4 models (570s, 12C, 650s, 675 LT) with different tunes as you mentioned correctly...

I thought they were having problems getting a tune out for the 650s or something was unique that it wasn't as tune friendly as the 12c, even though like you said its the same engine.

I think you are right but wasn't it solved?? I believe AMS and Enzo have tunes for it plus a few others with decent gains over the already high rated hp/tq.

Most importantly, the 570S is more fun to drive based on many reviews. My experience with the 12C indicates that it was a little vague in its handling and feedback. It's awesome for a first production model, but competition is very stiff in this segment.

Yeah I believe you're correct on Enzo. I'm not sure when they got through whatever difference the new models have vs. the 12c, but it must have been recently [within the last 6-12 months].


Their 750package for the 12c is impressive though that 138 trap is no joke.

There are internal changes on all of those motors.
