Second tour of duty for your RS7 too. Now we can bet whether your next sedan is E63S, F90 M5, or the AMG GT Sedan we have seen testing on the ring.
These would be at the forefront....

I am very intrigued by the f90 and how the implementation of the switching between rwd and 4wd is, also very curious to hear the B&W now that they've supplanted B&O for BMW.

I dont really care about the stereo systems--- they serve their intended purpose for what I need. When I buy a car, if it has the upgrade radio its all good, if it doesnt Im just as good.

This RS7 has the upgrade B&O with the retractable tweets on both ends of the dash and it is a really crisp sounding system but its not what I care about.

Not my actual car:

lol they mimic the Beolab 3 look,

I'm just curious now that MSD's are over, if BMW can get their values back in line with Porsche and Audi vs. how anemic they price are after purchase. If in 1.5-2 years after the F90 M5 launch they are 50% off, then I can wait lol

BMW would be in trouble if their M cars dropped 50% in 18 to 24 months off of MSRP... the residual baths would be incredible.

Looks terrific and those wheels are so good. Do you feel the weight of the car like how the f10 m5 can feel heavy and large at times?

Thanks. Yes, there is no denying the weight coming from driving the R8 or Porsche for a day or two and then going into the RS7. But the suspension setup with the diagonal spring shocks and wider sways (on this model vs my last one) help it stay planted in lateral movement and higher speed turns.

In my 2014 RS7 I remember really having issues with the lean and roll (it had springs too but I think the new car has better dampener rates) whereas in this car when I'm running hard on the freeways the lean and roll is just not that prevalent.

Compared to the M5- its just a bit heavier but I don't really notice the difference. What I do notice is the immediate torque and pull from lower speeds. My M5 was tuned and it still doesn't feel like this car with the torque curve it produces. This car is my traffic car and I don't use the manual mode. The Drive Sport mode in this car is very responsive and fast (ZF8) and I personally don't mind the transmission at all.

So would you feel that this car will beat the F10 M5 in any speed now that you have one?

I mean based on SA's test numbers, RS7 Performance will pull from the M5 even in high speed, but most members here don't believe it (maybe it even included you, I can't remember for sure).

LOL... I dont think I ever disagreed with the numbers in your threads. My thoughts are that this car, 2017 Performance, will beat the M5 into triple digits in the real world with duplication on the street (vs a closed course professional driver). But Im more wary about a rolling race as the M5 really shines there once it has traction. I honestly can't say because "feel" and reality are two things.

Yeah I know feel and reality are two different things, so I guess your gut feelings it's still too close to call.

Ill say this, if it's out in the wild and not in a controlled environment I'd rather have the RS7 Performance. Its the easier car to drive in all conditions and takes less "pre meditation".

Yeah I think that pretty much sums it up why BMW had to go the AWD route as well.

Its interesting as all the audi guys over at the RS7 boards are swearing by them too. Its nice to be able to keep an OEM wheel
