I agree as the XKRS appears to be trying too hard while this car is just fluid- drive one but drive it in dynamic mode and the windows down. Smiles.

Problem is I don't feel that this car is for me
Cabin too small, and despite nevrr been claustrophobic but felt too tight for my taste !
And as I said before I hate to test drive cars just for fun but only as possible purchase and F-Type R isn't on the list anymore ! Even if it outperforms M5/6!!
Looks like the Panamera Turbo S will be the one if I change soon but my question for you guys ? Is the tech updated or at least refreshed from 2011 to 2014 or so? Because if not it could be a deal breaker especially when I am not getting more performance and shelling a lot more money for the swap!!
Actually been thinking lately about M6 convertible and in winter which will make it even cheaper - I see a lot more M6's in Charlotte than M5's no doubt though !!

Question is not for me -
But hands down this F-Type R Jag or even the XKR-S and this is based on no test drive of the 2S but rather based on stats and sounds drama sir and so many reviews and I don't think it is a fair comparison way much less powered car! Why not Turbo?

Price is what makes it a fair comparison. Let's just say this is a personal issue I am grappling with.

Also C2S is a much more precise instrument, the Jag is more of a brute force instrument. This is a case of scalpel vs hammer.

To make things harder the AMG GT will be out soon too.

Most reviews mention that the Jag can be placed accurately on the road and road course. It's just that IF you want to play Hooligan, it is very easy to do so!

It most certainly is a hell of an entertaining car for (much depending on options) less than a C2S.

The Jag is fantastic--- you really can actually feel the tq vectoring guide you as you hit turns around 120 mph plus (big bends). If you are used to understeer it almost feels like over steer LOL.

Its the best 100-110k car IMHO out there and I like every bit as much as my 991 C4S if not more due to the tq and hp gains along with the sound.

Shelf tune is on--- 35 whp and 40 wtq added:

I was literally tripping out when I was hitting those high speed turns; I was wondering "what the fuck is guiding me so easily around this turn" LOL

I can only imagine -
I don't think I have rules thar car completely out yet but I will be surprised myself if I get it but it's not like I've never surprised myself before a Hahahhaha
It is a beautiful car! How good f a deal you got OFF MSRP since it is still new ? I was surprised that the 2014 XKR-S had 141k sticker price and I personally didn't think it was worth it but was used 6k miles on it and asking was 98k so probably they would have done it for 90K !! Like 35% off sticker for 6k miles on it !! But again your car looks way better than the XKR-S no doubt now - and I am sure that sticker is a lot less which is weird because yours is the better car!!

Enjoy in good health
I woukd live to hear a cold start again -

I got a very very good deal but I know the owner of the dealership and have helped them commercially. There is about 8% in the msrp from invoice to sticker on the F Type.

This vid has an inside start up and then later in the vid there is the sound of the car while being driven and its very similar in real life but the barks and burbles are louder personally.

Sorry just saw this....

I only had a few test drives with the C2S before I jumped in the C4S and ultimately got that car so my perspective is light but I did own the C4S and understand the chassis quite well outside of the AWD system.

Its early on but I would choose the Jag... the power and the sound is intoxicating and the active differential and tq vectoring really help the car become rather precise. I think you called the C2S the scalpel and the Jag the hammer. I'd agree the C2S is a scalpel as its amazingly perfect in the point and shoot category but I would say the Jag while being brutal is also a great handler and can be precise once one learns how to drive it correctly. The C2S is an easy driver and requires less skill but the Jag is easy too (not as easy). The steering is on point and the ZF tranny is not that bad at all and can handle gobs of tq. Further the TCU in the Jag utilizes the ZF tranny correctly with faster shifts than in my MCT Black Series and holds the gears thru the RPM's. The confidence level at higher speeds in turns is very prevalent and I found myself pushing the car very hard early on and it pulls extremely well. The triple stamped aluminum body is so rigid that I don't feel much body flex. The car is dialed and the chassis is excellent but maybe a tick off of the 991 which is sheer perfection.

The Jag also looks so heavenly and the interior is good. Its rare to get an amazing looker with also performance to match. I find it easier on the eyes than my C4S. I didn't take great note of the interior prior to acquisition but as my tuner pointed out while in the passenger seat; the leather is very soft and the stitching is excellent. Its a tight comfortable cockpit and the vision is fine except for the rear window which is tiny and when the spoiler is up (past 60mph) its partially blocked. The steering wheel is meaty and the electronics are fine. I know you have a higher expectation than I do in this department so you will need to test it out for yourself. I haven't used the nav yet so no experience or comment there but Im hoping the guidance has a British accent LOL.

God I love the sound... you need to go and drive one in Dynamic mode. The exhaust is violent and the pops and barks are shocking; much better than my stock PSE in the C4S and even better than when I modded the C4S with bypass pipes.

Its a great second or third car since it lacks a rear seat and most people have family and other needs. Its a good daily driver and quite comfortable. But like I said its early on so Ill probably have some complaints down the road. Right now I really only dislike that there isn't a ventilated seat option and its hot right now LOL.

LOL there is no comparo of those two cars.... One is a just a shocking beast and the other is a sexy looker that has some juice. In an ideal situation I would have both and I actually will be dumping my Turbo S around that time the Z06 comes out so who knows???

@vic55 thanks for the feedback. I'm looking forward to trying this out. We also get partner pricing from Jaguar so this is pretty compelling.

Do you know if it has more legroom than the cabriolet version? I had difficulty finding a comfortable seating position in the cab.

I don't have any seat time in the cab so I am not sure but I think there is a slightly larger cabin according to my CA.

Found this video which is very indicative of the F Type V8 exhaust sound--- its a very aggressive sound even far off:
