(Today) Maryland International Raceway

Join me at MIR today to race and/or watch some 1/4 mile passes. It is Test and Tune from 10 am to 6 pm.

I visited MIR several weeks ago and temperatures were 55-60F and the track was prepped well. My best of two runs was 11.8 sec @ 120 mph with the rear tires dropped to 25 psi.

Today is forecasted to be partialy sunny and temperatures in the 50s. I hope to get a better launch and lower my elapsed time (ET) to 11.6 or 11.7.

I haven't had the car long but I'm actually a little disappointed. I expected this vehicle to run 11.4 to 11.5 at 125+mph since it has the Dinan Stage 2 active. What I've noticed is that the Dinan "piggyback" seems to only have a noticeable impact beyond 65 mph. I suppose this is for warranty reasons as the drive train is not being exposed to higher torque at take off...?

(Last Day of Season) Maryland International Raceway

MIR is running Test and Tune all day from 10 am to 6 pm. The forecast is another sunny day with temps in the low 50s. I will likely stay until 3 pm.

My last visit to MIR was a sunny day with temperatures hovering just over 50F and the track was prepped very well. A M6 arrived later in the day but unfortunately it didn't work out for us to meet. I saw the M6 run against a last gen CTS V on slicks and it was a very close race.
CTS V= 12.03 sec at 114 mph
M6 =12.04 sec at 119 mph
My best of four runs was 11.6 sec @ 121 mph with the rear tires dropped to 22 psi.

If I get a good spot in line today I may get an early run in just below 50 F and with a great launch I hope to get a 11.5 run.

MIR's season is over...The final day at the track was just too warm for any new best times.

In addition, heavy rains yesterday and last night caused a delay in opening the track. Instead of racing at 10 am, initial runs were not made until after 1 pm when it was approximately 65 F. Since they started racing late, I only had time to make two runs this afternoon.
(Run 1) 11.8 sec at 120.5 mph(Run 2) 12.0 sec at 120.0 mph

Mason Dixon Dragway, I ran faster mph stock (Dinan=Slower Trap 1/4 MPH)

Today my vehicle was running stock (without Dinan Stage 1 or Stage 2) and I ran faster than ever before. When running the Dinan stage 2, I typically run 117 to 121 mph trap speeds. My best mph, before today, was 122mph.

Running the stock tune I made three 1/4 mile runs and ran 123, 122 and 123 mph. My elapsed times, and everyone else's, were not good since the track's starting line had too much water in the water box and everyone could not heat the tires enough to get them dry. Every launch spun horribly.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with dyno runs or mph/elapsed times being more powerful/faster using a stock tune?

It was nice meeting you today. I was able to get my Launch worked out after you left.

Great meeting you as well.

Glad you nailed down your launches! Your car runs very well, especially for such a warm and humid day.

I tried different rear tire air pressures (20-30lbs) and different launch techniques but still have not found the secret sauce to launching the F10 consistently well on street tires. Out of the blue, sometimes the launch produces axel hop and I let off immediately. This caused me to have some horrendous 60' times ranging from 2.2 to 2.6 seconds.

My bests (of eight passes) for last Sunday were as follows:
60' 1.910
ET 11.941
Trap speed 119.41

My worsts of the day are so embarrassing and awful, I can't even bring myself to list them
