I really think if your going to lower it, you need a rim with a lip to show the width of tires and offset. This look is more civic then BMW. I would look at a set of BBS LM-Rs. Since they can be ordered custom and have a great look to show off the brakes.

Can't thank the guys at IND enough. I'll be the first to admit that I have a car modding problem lol. And when I moved away from SoCal 6 years ago, I lamented the fact I would be so far from any quality tuning shops. Little did I know that I would be moving right into the backyard of the finest shop in the country, hands down.
I'll post some thoughts as I drive the car more. First impression of the KW3 though, awesome. I took a risk getting rid of the EDC, but after all the cars I've had (GT-R, x5M, r8), I never really bothered to adjust the suspension settings from the cabin. Maybe just lazy, but I also have a pretty high tolerance for lowered cars and the accompanying ride harshness. Overall, the KW3 tightens up the ride nicely without being too rough. I'd say its similar to the Sport setting, and definitely not as rough as the Sport+ setting. I initailly wanted to go with the sleeve kit, but there apparently is no eta for those in the near future. As for just springs, I honestly couldn't even tell the car was lowered in some pictures. I like the height adjustability immensely. Currently, its a little too low for my liking (I blame Ilia), so I may raise it just a notch down the road. And definitely will raise it to stock height for the winter. This project has been in the works for some time now and the IND guys have been great, as they always are. My goal was to make the car clean, understated, and purposeful. No fancy wheels, no fancy aerodynamics. There is way too much attention driving the r8 around, I didn't want that with this car. I think the car turned out exactly like I had pictured it in my head. Thanks again guys. Last edited by Trips; 08-31-2012 at 07:55 PM.. |

This must be the very first F10 M5 I genuinly liked. It is amazingly done. Particularly getting rid of the chromes in such a tasteful fashion and everything about the exhaust. What I am not crazy about this car is the drop and rims but still car is close to perfection with superb photography. Congratulations to IND and the lucky and tasteful owner.

Everything looks great. Agree the drop may be a bit low. Also, the exhaust sounds great. I am having a hard time with oval tips on an M though. It just reminds me of AMG. I mean that's their signature tip treatment!!
How were the handle's chrome removed? The result is nice.

I like the tips and it doesn't look like AMG at all. AMG has moved on to square tips now.

I would love to see these Eisenmann Oval tips with a body colored diffuser. The black diffuser overemphasizes the tips and that is partially what is making this car un-M5-like

This is definitely one TASTEFULLY modded M5! The sound of the Eisenmann exhaust is just incredible, gives it a deeper sound! I think the drop looks good, and that's the beauty of coilovers. You can always change the height!
I don't totally agree with everything modded on this M5 though. Would have gone with wheels that have a lip or concaveness to it. Also, never been a fan of the "partial" (middle section only) looking front lips. But to each their own. This M5 is still very nicely modded! |

Eisenmann had oval tips on the E60 M5, and it looked great on there. Nothing out of the ordinary here. I think people are just nit picking on an overall gorgeous car.
