2017 M5?

Hey guys,

So we know that the M5 production will stop in October. So technically no 2017 m5. However,
When i called my dealer and asked to order an m5 in July since the residual is a ridiculous 67%,
He stated that odering now would mean id get a 2017 model and the residual on that would be different. In fact it didn't even come out yet, he claimed. Is this correct? If i place an order in July for production, the July residual of 67% will not apply? Little confused. Or will there be no 2017 m5, and i can order in July and lock in that residual rate of 67%?
please advise guys.

thank you!

There will be no 2017 model M5 and even if there was it would be exactly the same as the 2016. Just like how the 2016 had no differences to the 2015.

I can't speak on residuals, but all anyone can do is talk to their dealers to find out. 67% is outrageous though. Even though I got the deal of a century on my 2013 M5, lesson learned for me on my next BMW a and I will not be getting another new M unless it's later on in its production life cycle.

So just going thru this and signing a deal last week , your dealer is an absolute idiot !

So i guess im growing up a bit and prioritizing a lil more by not always running out and getting the newest model as soon as its out and i gotta say it suxx lmao... So i decided to get rid of my 13 and get an individual
(interlagos blue) fully opt'd 16

so last production orders and alllocation's of the M5 will be in oct With the last production of the M5 being delivrd in end of dec as 16's

yes the Resid rates are crazzy @ 67% for 10k and 66% for 12k which for an M car is unheard of !! so much so that im even at this point considering gettin a 5.0 x5 w M sport pkg and dumping my SRT jeep

If anyone is/was on the fenece about a 16 now is def the time to grab one ..literally !

in Addition i read somewhere on this forum and another that the 18 M5 has and will be a rwd ? also like the 7 will only get larger , so those reason's + the crazzy resid's really made me do the deal ! i took a Sep allocation w an end nov delivery 9-12 week's on an indiv color !

worst case new M5 is so needed in my life i'll swap a lease , crash , burn , do what i gotta do to end up in one

No more 2017.
I was able to grab the last configurable slot. I almost missed it.

I just noticed options are very limited on BMW website for configurations.

They are winding down production. I just placed an order for one. Just because there is very limited MT that's why I ordered one. I told my SA, make it quick, blue/black plus MT.

I traded my 911 TT manual and then I missed driving a manual sometimes.
I looked at an audi then I learned they are still making a manual for an M5. last 2 builds in the US and I got one, that's a relief.

I will be back in an M5 and in a manual

The X5 residuals are not at 67%....just FYI. I believe they are 60% this month.
