Hi are you quoting your M5 finance repayments AddyDaddy as my thread is for car insurance only.Feel free to state what you pay for your 3rd party risk insurance unless it's included in those repayments.
Yeah that's my monthly car insurance payment to Geico.

That's $4164 a year which blows everything away here by a country mile with the currency conversion; So did you go on a price comparison site or something else.

My payment used to be $260 but it's gone up every yr. in Florida you have to cover uninsured motorists, it's a law. Other companies when I switched cars in December quoted $550/month.

Nope! We who pay end up paying for the ones who don't have licenses or DUI's and can't get insurance.

We do the same in the UK though.

Our premiums go up every year due to the uninsured

£1300 in south east London. Pretty expensive considering I’m on the wrong side of 40 but it is parked on the road.
However my E60 M5 was only £800.

Maybe it is a 1st year thing and it’ll go down next yr?!

Not that many tho surely with ANPR everywhere, when they're caught the cars will get crushed in most cases and mostly worthless heaps.

So not knowing where you live, how high or low is my insurance compared to yours? They don't ask me if I park in street or in my garage. They just ask how much extra coverage I want to pay.

Agreed Bham is a joke at present, I am born and bred Bham, but really cant stand it anymore.

Car jacking's on a daily basis, as are house break ins, worrying thing is that these gobshites are getting more and more violent using all sorts of weapons like machetes, an example of a few below

You live in a dream world if you think ANPR is sorting the problem, the issue is not enough Police to enforce it.

I have a mate who is a Traffic Officer and says on a night at times in Hampshire there are only 3 cars available in the County for response work.

The chances of getting caught speeding let alone anything else are slim at best.

I live in SE England to the South of Gt London and it's considered a 'low risk' area by insurers with my yearly premium being..converted into dollars is about $660+- all in one payment.Got 11 years no claims history, no cop penalty points or endorsements on license.
350£ excess/detuctible.No claims bonus protected with up to 2 claims and protection from uninsured drivers also vandal cover.Full w/screen and glass protection and the car has to be garaged at night. No breakdown cover tho I purchased that thru BMW insured b/down cover (69£) where they take the motor to an official BMW repair shop should it conk out.

I thinking more of my immediate area and have a close circle of friends that are not far from us..don't know anyone North of Watford lol but agree the areas like Brum and Manchester can be a million miles away from what's happening here.Cameron cut the cops to save money but still everything goes up with fewer cops about here but when I go into inner London their presence is most evident.

on the contrary you will get caught & charged for speeding, but not for kicking down someones front door and threatening them with a 2ft blade, issue is a lack of police, prosecuting powers and the fact that no ones been killed yet, there was a case last week here where a father and son restrained a car thief in their home, guess what ?? they were taken in and questioned for use of excessive force on a 16 yr old, hows that work !!

Agree that if there were no visible injuries on the thieving lad then hauling them into the cop shop was ott.

I miss the UK, especially the people.....but reading the above stories makes me less regretfull.

I pay about 115GBP per month, in a relatively large town in the north of Sweden. Thats fully insured - including electrical and mechanical faults, animals, windscreen damage, car hire. Also get 120% of the market value if it is totalled.

I used to pay £1100 for my lci comp to include business cover in Birmingham. Clean license, parked on the drive.

Paid £300 for my e39 m5 a few weeks ago. Just been doing quotes again on a f10 as thinking of buying another, now looking around £800
