Whine in 6th gear

Anyone else notice a whine in 6th gear. Easily heard at 40mph with light throttle. If I change to 5th the noise goes, or take my foot off the throttle.

It's not that loud but I am fussy and it annoys me round town.

It could be the DCT pump, that seems to whine slightly on most cars, you are hearing ?. I can hear my whining on occasion, and i tell myself im driving a race car, and thats what race cars do .

Sounds like there could be something amiss, if its still there when warm, the pump is usually quieter when warm. Perhaps worth getting checked out ?.

It's done it from day one but did not think much of it. Not sure if its getting worse or it's just me listening for it all the time.

hmmm, maybe i will just live with it then, lol. I dont think its an issue as it is not noisy but any means just that i hear it.

As someone else said they are more or less a racing car for the road so i suppose we should expect some tranny noise
