CTS catted downpipes

Anyone who owns these, how are they holding up ? Skeptical about the quality and longevity of these. I seen a thread on these but not many comments on the quality of cats which could mean a good thing.

Only muffler delete for now but might pair this with magnaflow xpipe so if anyone has downpipes/setup if you can chime in on quality and sound. Would be greatly appreciated

I got these a couple years ago and still have them on.

Check out my thread:

https://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1881075

Fitment was pretty good. One of the ends was slightly dented from shipping damage. It wasn't rounded as a result. CTS was willing to replace it but I didn't want to bother with shipping it back and waiting. My local Indy shop looked at it and felt they could fix the dent. They did it free of charge but I was taking it there for tuning afterwards.

That can happen to any down pipe you buy online if the carrier drops the box.

Mine are still going strong after 2 years, but my car is a garage queen with minimal miles each year.

With a custom tune, the catted DP really made a big difference in power delivery. Much smoother across the entire band.

CTS is pretty popular for VWs and Audis.

A lot of the other better known brands are overpriced with the M tax. The non-catted pipes are just two pipes and shouldn't cost as much as they do. The CTS unit is a good price with good quality. I don't regret my decision.

I did order new OEM gaskets. I'd have to look up the part numbers.

Appreciate the info! x35250

I know they have a heat shield already but did you add extra thermal protection?

I did not add more thermal protection. I didn't see the need for it. I don't track my car but drive spirited on the road. Not much stress on the motor to cause a major need for heat management.

I monitor parameters with the BM3 connected and the operating temps look consistly great.
