Rear Diff Leak

Just noticed that I have a few drops on the ground under the rear diff & looked under the car to notice some oil near the rear diff plastics.

Had the fluid changed at 58k (now 62k) about 6 months ago. Is is possible that they overfilled? Or more likely that a seal is bad? Hoping it's not axles...

Surprised because I took it to the BMW dealer for an oil change 2 months ago where they inspected it and said everything's good. Mods are Downpipes and a BM3 Stage 2 91 octane tune. Thx all!

It's possible they overfilled it. I would clean up all the "evidence" and then drive the car and check again to see where it's coming from.

Strangely enough, the leak is coming from the upper, fill plug. Which likely means it was overfilled and the seal on the plug is going...

Get a new crush washer, pull the plug on top check the level, install new washer and seal it up. See if the leak continues. GL
