Infinity Design Carbon Intakes.

Hi all!

I thought I'd do a quick review and share my experiences of my new intake system, made by Infinity Design, as there isn't much information out there on these.

My cars have always had the best aftermarket parts. There's no point in cutting corners, buy cheap, buy twice and all that. So I have Akrapovic exhaust, KW suspension, MPS4S tyres, Eventuri intakes etc.

I recently attended an M5/6 car meet, where a few of the cars had Infinity Design intakes. I had heard of them previously and seen a few bits online, but never really gave them much attention. That was until I saw them in real life! The quality exceptional. Perfect carbon weave, and such a smooth shape. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to see that these must flow better than anything else out there. They fit straight into the oem ducting, and have an opening just behind the headlight.

I had to have a set!

So a few days later a set arrived! Fitment was easy and straightforward. A little simple fettling to get alignment right and I was ready to go in a few minutes.

Onto the drive…. Once up to temp, under full throttle the sound is very noticeable, and surprisingly quite different to the Eventuri’s. It’s hard to explain but gives a higher pitched growl that sounds a little more exotic somehow. Nice! Then theres the blow off sound, very similar to Eventuri. Very pronounced when you want it to be. Performance wise, the car feels strong and responsive. Inlet air temps are very similar to oem.

They looks great and your engine compartment is a clean that I always aspire to have in my own car.
