Allow me to shed some light on this question. The "Fake Sound" as you called it is ONLY under a lite load, not under a WOT. It was designed more for cruising around town as most V8's sound better under a WOT. The M5 utilities this tool to constantly make the V8 noise heard. I cannot say who I got this information from but it does make sense.

This will only be available as a full system from the CAT's back? This looks like a full Catless system or am I wrong?

Great info. Does make sense and glad to hear this is the case. Always thought that people made too big of a deal about this active sound thing anyway.

I believe the new M5 has cat's only on the downpipes. This a downpipe back exhaust.

I love comments like this. Have you heard the f10 in person ? If not you might like to reserve judgment until you have. It sounds a lot better in person than people who have heard it on video give it credit for.

ANSWER: Yes indeed I have heard a few and it is still my opinion, however this spesific car in this video I haven't and only have the video as reference. Therefore I am comparing this Video to the standard one. All of my M's have had exaust mods and I do not think it sounds anything like the previous M's. The NA M's sound far better apart from this car IN MY OPINION!!
Eisenmann has done a excellent job

Those who say this sounds similar to the stock exhaust needs to get their ears checked. It's so much deeper sounding.
