I definitely like the styling of the CLS63 better (I have a CLS550), its a pretty different car than the E63.. I fully recognize its the same chassis, engine, etc, but the lower profile, and sloping rear end change its use.. My 5m old's car seat barely fits in the rear door/seat, and my wife hits her head 50% of the time getting in and out the front seat... CLS also gets 'noticed' a lot more than a e-class would, which could be good or bad depending on what you are looking for.

I think the comparisons will be really interesting - these cars are really evenly matched. Historically, the v10 vs big v8 made comparisons more difficult, but now both having TT v8s, it should be interesting... In the winter/spring I'm likely trading the CLS on one of the 2... Have the magazine's driven the e63 yet? I'm sure a comparison is coming soon...

I think I will just wait a bit and see some comparisons with the LCI M5 that has the performance package.

I would but then I would have to pay a lot more for the difference which is not worth it imo.

I don't think I will get the E63 but now I'm torn between a 2014 Cayman S and the M5.

I know that these 2 can't be compared but damn when I test drove the Cayman it felt so agile and nimble while when I tested the M5 it felt bloody fast but heavy, both were fun to drive but in 2 different ways.

So now it's either I go for Power or for Agility. I wonder which one will be more fun on the track.

Lightweight and agility FTW if you don't need the 4 seats.

You are right, it's my mistake I wanted to say LCI. Anyways SLI is a PC term (Scalable Link Interface) when you have multiple GPUs in your PC.

I think it's time for me to upgrade my PC

Sport Auto just tested CLS63 with performance package. CLS63 is faster than the M5 around the Nurbergring, slightly slower than the M5 at the much smaller Hockenheimring.

0-200km-0 is the same as the M5 at 18.4 sec (class leader Panamera Turbo S: 18.3 sec).

Both are obviously nice cars and equally capable. At drag strip it will depend on who got the first jump, at mountain roads it will depend on who is the better driver, as neither car will give you a distinctive advantage.

You just used "butter face" as a metaphor for the new E63. Well done sir.
