Question about Eisenmann Race vs Sport
Hi guys, I'm thinking about upgrading the stock exhaust to an Eisenmann Race or Sport. It has to be mufflers only or I lose the warranty.
I like deep bass at low RPM and Race seems the way to go, but I have big concerns about highway cruising. Often I am travelling like 500-600 miles @ 100-120mph, and sometimes with kids in the back, so is it going to be much louder at cruising speeds? And is the E-Sport worth it? Does it make a difference at low RPM with windows closed? Also, any feedback on the SuperSprint race mufflers will be welcome. From what I gather they are the equivalent of E-Race, same quality at about half the price. |

... I can give you my very, very brief experience. I had the E-Race for two weeks (just last month) and had to take it off due to drone noise issue (esp. in the 1500-1900 rpm range, which is the cruising range). I ordered E-Sport but E-Race was shipped to me and in the end, I had no choice but to put the E-Race on. The spec says +10 decibels over stock .. in reality, i think it's much more than that. If you are in your 20's or 30's, I would guess you may not mind the E-Race at all.
Overall, I think you may be better off with E-Sport if you do lots of highway driving. |

If you are worried about drone I would not risk purchasing the race. The sport is still a nice upgrade over the oem system. Feel free to PM me if interested in a quote.

If you are cruising at 100-120mph you will be above 2000rpm so drone will not be an issue with the E-race. It is really only an issue at USA speeds (1600-1900 rpm) in 7th gear.

Still available. It's just somewhat difficult for me to deal with this internationally. You have anyone here in Canada who can act for you ?
I have no paypal account. Don't want to give out my bank account info for fund wiring too. Who is paying the shipping cost. I certainly have no intent |

I have the SS - Race to me it seems to have the same positive and negatives as the Eisenmann Race. 1,500 - 1,900 RPM in 7th is a issue. Funny in 6th not much of a issue.
Over all I like it. I have two sets of SS Race. The other is on my E60 M5 Hoopumpers what is your thought? |

I ended up buying the SS Race mufflers. Initially I was worried by the drone in the upper gears from 1500-1900Rpm, but it either got better or I got used to it.
The car didn't become much louder, except for the cold start, and is still perfectly usable on long trips. Overall, I am very happy. Although any stock AMG sounds much better Btw, I ordered from the factory and the total cost was less than 1/2 of the Eisenmann Race. |
