Up it goes.

Greedy fuel companies are using the petrol delivery crisis as excuse for bumping up the price.

In the 14 months that I've owed my flying machine, it has increased by £0.27 per litre, and while I have approached the whole M5 owning experience with a view that it won't be inexpensive motoring, I still think that's a little hard to swallow!

I'd rather they keep the 5p. 5p won't make the slightest difference to me or you.

It's something but what is this 'duty' anyway, something concocted by them out of nothing on top of the VAT. When the fuel price is increased they scoop up more in VAT and duty skinning the public.

Before the 5p duty drop came in fuel co's upped the price a bit, they're nothing but daylight thieves, sure I can afford it but I don't like being ripped off by petty price manipulating.

My suspicions have been confirmed, brits are being ripped off by fuel suppliers. The cost of filling your M5 up should have dropped 20p a litre by now because of a drop in global oil prices and a small cut in the governments fuel 'duty',this so called gov't duty is on top of the VAT already charged. Sunak could implement a long awaited independent fuel pricing watchdog to help the UK's 37M motorists, so what is he waiting for.

At the time I bought mine, premium unleaded was £1.269 litre (well it was in my area).

Last week, I filled up and it was £1.769 litre - an increase of £0.21 litre since mid-December alone, and £0.50 litre in the 18 months of ownership.

I'm still waiting for the 5p cut to kick in - of course I'm not holding my breath...

I paid £1.67 litre for M99 yesterday, for 68 litres @£113.49, the first time it's gone over a hundred pounds to what I've been paying before.

I do that now when it reaches half and it's £2.00 a litre for E5 now. Waiting for Johnson to cut the fuel duty by 50p a litre and reduce VAT to 10% to help the public and himself as put forward by the media and journos, he's not doing anything and is heading for annihilation at the polls.

He's hinted that the 'duty' (a word they made up to squeeze more money out of motorists) will come down with some of Europe already cutting their tax by 20p to 30p a litre. My motorist action group which I belong to is constantly on to the gov. as well as the fair fuel price group.
It's no use hoping for a cut from bojo but time to demand to stop being ripped off.
