Best way to launch these cars?

Hello!

In about a month I'm going to my first dragstrip event (its digs and roll racing). I'm pretty solid with the rolling racings (40-60 mph) but I've struggled with getting this car off the line fast. I'm about to put a new set of tires on the car prior to the event (Michel PS4S). What are your recommendations to get this car off the line fast?

Thanks,

you need 315 proxes r888r and send it, they fit no need for spacers, also you can do any other tire on 305 and no need for spacers

Okay besides tires what else though? Like traction in MDM mode with everything on Sport Plus mode? Possibly holding the brake down a little and build boost?

R888 tires. Another forum member had a thread outlined where he states to just hold the brake and then on the green light stomp the gas pedal with traction control off. As far as the settings I think leaving it in D with the highest shift setting works best (wont risk short shifting like in manual)

also: axle upgrade, oem seem to go out when running with a sticky tire

DSC on

I've tried all the methods and the best for me is, 305's,suspension on comfort, dsc on,no dynamic mode,g/box in D efficient and engine in efficient. No dramas it's just go using experience in throttle opening; With any other settings all you do is wear down the rear tyres whatever size they are and lots more chirping.Definitely no launch control.
*Just to add that we have seen on vids what dsc off can do when things don't go to plan.

I haven't gone to the strip in mine, but based on my own experience, I would have comfort suspension, DSC off, sport+ throttle and then get some experience with the throttle to get the right wheel spin vs. power tradeoff.

comfort suspension so you get as much weight transfer to the rear wheels as possible

DSC off because even in MDM mode it will punish you. MDM will do better than Off if you just mash the throttle, but it will never be faster than a well-modulated pedal.

sport+ throttle because it appears to have the best throttle response for one's start/60ft time and modulation. I could also see an argument for Sport as while it seems to have a bit more delay, it's also less sensitive, which might make modulation easier.

That said, there are folks on here who have done a good amount of 1/4- and 1/2-mile runs. Would be nice to hear from them.

Considering I have done this a few times lol.. to say the least.

Check out my video when I ran 10.3 some years back with M6 (record still stands)
Car had just Downpipes, tune, intake and 100 octane.

On track, best way is to just smash the gas!
Naturally the tires need to be heated and traction fully off.
The LC feature will modulate the gas and not give you that get up and go!

This 0-60 in video was 2.6
And all gears I manually shifted to avoid the car bouncing it off the rev limiter.

P.a you can hear my foot just mash the gas pedal!

DSS axles.
Ssp clutch.

I broke multiple DSS axles
Read diff
And trans.

My advice.. use stock axles. If they break it's cheap.
If the DSS break, the diff and trans going with it ! lol
