These cars do not lack torque at all... In fact with a simple tune they usually make 50-100 more lb's of torque than hp. Oh and forced induction usually increases torque substantially.

So is the block counter bored at the bottom to keep the sleeve in place axially or is it an interference fit between block and sleeve?

The sleeve is keep in with both interference pressed in fit and by the flange at the top to keep it from going south
The cross hatching in the valley is referred to as webbing and it's purpose is for added strength |

Very interesting and awesome job!
with 1000hp or so, wouldn't one experience clutch slip and such? I think the OEM stock clutch can only withstand certain amount of torque and perhaps with 1000hp or so it's beyond that already? How long would a job like this take? |
