Really great stuff! Have been seeing a lot of fear around injectors recently - did your 2013 injectors give you issues or require replacement? I'm a 2014 so not sure if that works to my favor or not

I had to replace mine but it only was tune related. you should be fine. dont worry. these cars are very good. they only really mess up when you begin to change things.

I have 2013 m6 and I just replaced all my injectors. Pretty pricy but had to be done.

I have 73K kilometers on it with downpipe and tune installed maybe the past 20k kilometers.

Injectors were faulty which effected other parts of the car that needed to be changed.

Got her with 57K miles. I have 81K miles.
*Changed rear rotors and brakes at 70k miles. New tires as well.
*Did my own plugs at 73k miles. Got a DTM code after my Bootmod3 Stage 2 Tune. Injectors were bad though. I heard we should change them every 20-30k miles on our car.
*My right lower control arm is going bad. Making noises. Ordered the part. $450.

All in all for a German car at 80k miles, I feel it runs strong. I even have front mount intakes and this thing fires right up in 23 degree temps. After I change my control arm, I feel it can keep running strong. No signs of leaks or oil leaks under or over the car.

I’ll sell it trade it soon enough when the F90 prices come down. I need AWD.

Damn, at what mileage did you change the injectors? Was there a symptom that lead to your decision to change them?

Garage List
2013 BMW F10 M5  [10.00]
At 80,000 km my car went for a huge list of new parts that needed to be changed

- Engine mounts
- Transmission mount
- Front Rotors/Pads
- Rear Rotors/Pads
- Ignition Coils
- Injectors
- Spark Plugs
- Steering Pump
- Lower Arms
- Steering Links
- Rear Differential Bracket
- Rear Sub-frame
- Valve Seals
- Top Cover Gasket
- Headlight Washer

And some other parts that I cannot recall at the moment. Anyway, long story short, God bless Warranty and a good connection at the service center. I am almost driving a brand new car that will easily last for another 50,000 km without any issues.

What are the normal Error Codes for Ignition Coils and Injectors, or does the car just cough and splutter?

What is the consensus on suspension refreshes on these cars?

My car has 60k miles and drives very well, all bushings look good, but I can't help but think that it would drive better with some things replaced.

Are there specific parts that should be looked into around 60k miles?

Almost anything related to ignition/fuel supply/air supply will result in Drivetrain Error.

Don't forget that our climate is very harsh on the cars and we drive on high speeds everyday due to our stretched highways. Our speed limits on some roads are 85 mph (140 kph)

Maybe your car is never before you take in care. Just drive pedal to the metal.
Or driven more than you know...?

Well the previous owner simply did NOT do anything except change engine oil for the past 4 years... This service was done a month after owning the car. So I restored it back to it's factory condition

scottgps22 I believe i am looking at purchasing you car from a dealership and had a few questions. I sam the Meth lines and heat wrapped lines and after doing some digging and comparing mods and color codes i am almost positive it is your very car. If you don't mind messaging back that'd be great!

I don't understand how someone who owns an early model F10 can only drive it less than 20k miles in its life. That takes a lot of self discipline.

sometimes w the tunes you would have to change a injector. I did but it was no biggie.
