Fact:
Gxx rear calipers are not interchangeable with Fxx models due to the different hub carrier design. Gxx V8TT (M550, 750) rear caliper carriers (the part w/ the shiny m logo that you got got by) are made to clear 345mm rotors Fxx M5/6 rear caliper carriers are designed to clear 395mm rotors (biggest rear rotor ever offered from BMW btw) The calipers themselves are identical across all Fxx V8tt models starting from 2009 750i/li to Fxx M5/M6 (including CCB), and all the 550/650/750 models. Only thing that makes them different is the colors/finish (raw/gloss black/blue/ccb gold) So with that said, the F10 M5 rear brakes are accompanied by the most "massive" rear caliper BMW ever used to clear the 395mm rotors, which are by the way, 15mm larger than ones on the F90 M5. PS. Fuck electronic e-brakes. |
