Power steering fluid

Just ordered a litre of Pentosin CHF11S by Fuchs as power steer level nearly on minimum.
(Keep this stuff away from kids it's deadly).

Instead of just topping up the ps reservoir I drained it with a suction tube and refilled with fresh Pentosin to the correct level, the old fluid was discolored and it went into an old oil can.
It's important not to get this fluid on your bare hands so obviously tough latex gloves should be worn and to avoid splashes.

The 1L was enough to fill the entire reservoir even after draining? I have the same thing going and want to make sure I order enough.

It was around a third of a litre I used just to the bottom of reservoir.

My 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee oddly enough used this fluid for it's PS reservoir, and I still have some on the shelf. Not sure if I want to chance it though, sitting in my garage for maybe two years.

Hydraulic fluid may be ok to use,it's brake fluid that can absorb moisture once opened should be disposed of after sitting on a ledge for a while.

Yes. A light twist is all you need.
