M Performance Carbon

Am considering buying the genuine carbon m performance wing mirror covers, rear spoiler and lower diffuser

I know it’s about £1800 which includes the black grills which I already have but I think it’s only a matter of time

May soon have some genuine new black grills for sale if anyone is interested

Highly recommend the lower diffuser. Would be interested to see how high of a kick is on the spoiler, interested in one of these myself but cannot find any decent pics.

You can get the diffuser for £710 on Ebay and the spoiler for around £350.

So have ordered the OEM Carbon rear spoiler, rear diffuser and both mirror covers.

Got a fantastic price considering the RRP was £2110

Took the rear spoiler off last night. Took 3 hours to remove the betalink glue from the bootlid. A real pain but the paint is now smooth and clean ready for the new one.

Also bought some more Gyeon One ceramic coat so will coat everything before it goes on the car.

An exciting time for you now preparing for those additions, man 3 hours to carefully remove the spoiler would drive me crazy. You say the ceramic coating will go on before installation but mating surfaces will be treated with alcohol I presume before bonding.
Are you tempted by an upper rear window spoiler also or would it be too much.

I am only coating the external parts anything that's visible, any mating surface wont be treated. The only part that actually bonds is the rear boot spoiler and that will be cleaned with IPA and have a lot of 3M tape applied.

I am really keen to only fit OEM parts so wouldn't fit a rear window spoiler.

It was a pain but its either leave it on and do half a job or take it off unfortunately. I used Gyeon Tar Remover and a lot of microfibre clothes which helped.

I used wide 3m tape on the boot spoiler of my last Merc Sport and left a 1 cm gap at the bottom of the spoiler in the middle for it not to be completely sealed and to 'breathe' when heat is on it and any condensation inside would not stay there.
You should get some notes back when you sell the replaced parts.

Would love to see some pics when done, especially the rear spoiler. Not mega struck on the mirror covers though, looks like you got a bargain with all that either way. What did the spoiler cost on its own if you don't mind me asking?

I got a combined price for everything, if I would have bought individual parts then the prices would have been closer to RRP

I am impressed with the quality but then you expect that with the BMW label.
