Motul 5w-40

About to do an oil change with Motul 8100 5w-40 x-cess.

Anyone else have any experience with it? Drawbacks?

Oil change complete. For those who are wondering this oil is on the BMW approved list. The engine is running smooth as butter.

Was it running harsher before the oil change? I just noticed mine runs a little harsher after the dealer changed the oil last month.

Reviving an old thread, but are you still running this oil Spinny02?

I took my M5 for a service today to a well regarded BMW specialist independent workshop and they are big advocates for the Motul 5w40 in these engines. I didn't have any particular concerns with the BMW LL oil that was in the car (my car doesn't burn oil) but was happy to go with their recommendation given that Motul has a good name amongst enthusiasts.
