Leather Care
How often are you using leather conditioner on your seats, and what type?
Not sure what kind of leather I have. The cheapest likely but the bolsters and watch rash areas are all holding up really well. |

I condition mine every other clean, not sure if that's too much or too little.
I just use the normal brands like meguiars or auto glym. The autoglym gives a nice feel and scent that lasts a bit longer than the meguiars, some conditoners make the surface less smooth and it feels weird sitting in them afterwards, you feel stuck. I'm not an expert though. |

I’ve just done them for the first time, need to be more regular, it does make a huge difference over time.
I’m using leather honey, its very expensive and takes ages to do but was previously very good on cream coloured leather, kept it as new. I think the 320d has that ‘nearly leather’. I don’t think there’s any point caring for that? |

The seats on the M5 as with most cars have a plastic coat so technically dont need to be conditioned like older vintage cars.
They need to be cleaned to remove dirt etc but rubbing in a leather conditioner is not really a good idea. I use Dr Leather Wipes as this cleans and maintains the plastic coating |

I’m wondering if that sort of advice is still valid when cars approach 10yrs old, versus a 6mth old set of seats. Mine look stunning after being treated. |
