Then you got your answer, glad I could help.
Not sure I have the answer. If we have continuity through the cables what else can stop the coils from getting power ? does the load shedding relay feed all coils ? and I presume if feeds power through the DME first ? You hardly have a wiring diagram for the coils and where they get their power from. Ideally showing colours of the cables too. I know I'm asking alot !

Understanding where your issue is will save you alot. I.E purchasing new coils and injectors which you already bought. You can keep tracing the wires until you reach the open circuit causing the fuss.

Trace the voltage to the DME and also check the signal going to the coil. There is a big chance your DME got short circuited and fried partially. That is just an assumption. Also check Fuse 14 and 15

That's brilliant that's very much. I think the last 2 pictures are for the N63 my engine fuse box is different to that.
I presume if the load shedding relay was gone both banks wouldn't work ?

Did you clone it? Or the dealer did the whole thing?

I'm afraid not. It seems like the slave ECU isn't working. It keeps going offline in ista+. Have tried another ECU and it is staying online but my problem is finding someone to reprogram it.
Can these be reprogrammed remotely ?

This is a channel that I recently stumbled on. I don't know this guy but does a ton of programming work. I think he can do remote work but you'll likely need to setup a laptop with software and cabling.

ok so after some testing it was that the DME on bank 2 was faulty. It's after taking 3 months to get it back from the guy who cloned it and changed out all the injectors with new ones.
Now the car started but is still running rough idle. it does sound better but still not quite right. I'm getting fault codes 118501 on bank 1 and 118011 on bank 2 which is one bank running lean and other running rich.
I reset adaptations and now the car won't start.
Any ideas ?

Did you input the codes on the injectors to calibrate?

Run Ista and check if HFM & TMAPs read almost the same or the difference is huge, check of air leaks and listen to your downpipe (turbo side) for hissing.

Might be a slight air leak.

Ok I'll check today if I can figure out ista. I'm not used to the software. Ihad mechanic out and looks like I need new hpfp's. There's a smell of fuel from the oil filler cap.
Can someone confirm that the part number I need is 13518604232 or Bosch 0261520293 ? There seems to be an adapter needed since they changed the connector on the pumps.

I did that and the BMW part number is right. if I look up the Bosch part number on Autodoc.de it says it won't fit my car yet if I look at the OEN number it shows the same bmw part number I'm looking for. I think they just want you to buy the more expensive parts when it's an M5. Also they changed the pump connection so I need an adapter too.

That's the same part number alright. Good to have another place to find parts. It's €386 for 2 pumps delivered to me from Autodoc which is a good price. They just don't make it easy to find the parts !!

Thanks for the link. I ordered through it in the end as Autodoc had no stock of the gaskets and ended up charging me delivery in the end when they said on the site it was free.

Ok so 2 new hpfp gone in and the car is still running rough. New injectors last week too. I'm getting a lean error on bank 2 yet the car smells rich. Sometimes I get a rich error on bank 1 also. Cheked O2 sensors with ista and all seems ok. Cleaned airflow meters too. I'm at a loss now !
