Down Pipe Advice

Hi guys I have a 2015 M5 F10 LCI with competition package and Akropovic Exhaust System.

I recently did a stage 1 tune thru DME which I love... got more power and a sick crackle.

I'm looking to install catless downpipes .. any suggestions that will bolt on with no headaches of moving o2 sensors etc

I was recommended fabworx but can't get delivery to Australia.

Looking for more noise ... suggestions please

Can that be done? Like a muffler place would do that?

I've researched and a lot recommended AMS but I was told you have to move the o2 sensor is that right?

I wouldn't recommend de-catting your oem downpipes. Mainly because if you need to go back to stage 1/no tune, it's hard to get OEM downpipes. Keep them just the way they are.

I currently have Fabworx on my car. I also had AMS Catless downpipes as well. Maybe they'll ship to you?

I believe so but I ended taking it to a local shop to get them installed. I think there is a few install guides on here as well.

Fabworx DP sale $739.95 (Retail $995)

Anyone know if there’s been recent sale prices for Fabworx DPs below $739.95?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/FABWORX-CAT...-/123729755648

When I pull the trigger on DPs, I will likely go with 200 cell catted down so the smell inside and outside the vehicle is not too strong.

You can still run a stock map or stage 1 map with no cats.

A guy would just need to have the cat not ready error coded out.

There’s no Point in spending 750 dollars on some pipes the car already has, but that’s just my opinion

Yeah but it's not recommended to run stock map or stage 1 with Catless downpipes. You're causing extra stress with the car's mods and tune not being in sync. Also it's way easier to get Catless downpipes than being OEM downpipes.

Ps check the user classified thread for Catless downpipes for sale.

This is such an innaccurate statement... A car is less stressed with catless DPs and most tuners can map out the CEL too. Freeing up more HP with less strain on the engine and turbos as it can all breathe easier.

If I can get rid of CEL with tune does that mean I can pass emission test with catless DP since it's all OBD testing now?

No you can't pass emissions test because what tuners do is turn off the monitor that turns on your CEL. Emissions test look for monitors to report back
