Picked up my first Pony! 458 Italia!

Since, I've been waiting to replace my old F10 and waiting for the used ones to trickle into the market, I've been content with my Escalade and a Z4 but I had to scoop up this 458 a client was selling.

2011 Ferrari 458 Italia with ALL the options. Tons of carbon fiber and options likes the backup camera and etc.

It's no daily replacement but will be fun for the summer! Now I'm off to find a way to extend the warranty. It's out in a few months and no way should I be owning this car without it!

I'm out of town and will be picking it and driving it back this weekend. Hoping to get some good pics out in the sun.

The alcantara inserts are great. I had them on the Cali T and they are really good about holding your butt in place and they breathe better than leather. It also has that aftermarket LaFerrari bridge. Better definitely get the power warranty because that year model has some risk of the DCT sensors failing. Check the threads at Fchat for more info.

I am sure you will love it!

Congrats, the 458 is a Special car from an ownership and driver's perspective.

Yeah, my local Maserati dealership is owned by a buddy of mine and he has the rights to the Ferrari dealership as well. The car still has the factory extended warranty and I can pay $4,000/year which I plan on doing. I don't know of any aftermarket warranties that are worth taking a gamble on to save a few hundred bucks. Your Cali T and 488 were bought bought under warranty and still have the original 3 year warranty right?

Thanks Vic! Finally had some good weather here in Nebraska so got it out over the weekend with a photographer buddy of mine. Will get those rollers.

I remember you had a 458 along with your FF; when did you get rid of yours? I just got offered a one-off Bentley GT3R in Silver from client of mine. He's been on the fence about selling it, and last I checked it was no longer listed for sale, but he'd sell it if I asked. Here it is:

How'd you like yours? My dad just totaled his car, so I'm contemplating getting the GT3R for him.

I got rid of my 458 in May of 2015 for a matte white OEM Huracan and kept the FF thru Jan of 2016. I replaced the FF with the GT3R and enjoyed it but I was not using it and needed a more banging daily sports car so I got the new Turbo S in May of 2016 and sold the Bent.

The GT3R has the RS7 engine and an oem akrapovic exhaust which means its pretty fast and sounds great. It is a heavy beast but they tightened up the dampers so it handles reasonably well for its weight. The interior is about as cush is gets with loads of CF and alcantara. Its like a palace in there with the all nice touches but the actual electronics are old/dated. Its a looker though from the outside and fine for a GT cruiser on the express ways.

Lowered, tuned and 22's

Congrats! We picked up a 458 a couple years ago and it is, by far, the best driving/most involving car I've ever experienced. Oh, and I see you also have a Panigale V4S We have one of those two. Best bike I've ever ridden

The 458 is by far the most expensive car I've owned but it's worth it. Just got my insurance bill... $5600

How do you like the V4? I ordered the V4 Speciale, rode it for a few days but it's too hot in Nebraska so it's in the shop getting a ton of little mods done.

I love how cool the engine is compared to the 899 Panis. My leg hair doesn't get burned off anymore haha

A 458 is totally worth a big insurance bill. Not to mention that you will no longer waste money yearning for new fancy cars every year. So you could say that a 458 will save you money in the long run

I used to have a 899 as well (which I sold for a RSV4 a few years back). The v4s is a million times better in every respect. But I do get a fair amount of heat blasting my butt in stop and go traffic on warm days. Not as bad as the 899 which was basically a gas powered castration device

yikes, make sure you have it listed as a weekend car reduced mileage. My 458 is 3k annually with Allstate think I pay 6k for 5 vehicles.

Agree, recode the car as pleasure use and 1800 miles a year... you will be fine unless you have a dirty record.

I think my 458 with Geico was 1800 a year... and I had a high 7 figure umbrella.

It's listed as that already. Even with the multi-car and home discount it's not getting cheaper. I have it at 5,000 miles annually. Insurance payments suck when you're young, single and have no kids.

That is true, hopefully it can keep me away from a new car for at least 2 years.

I just went to go check out the Cafe Racer, and for $11,000 it's an amazing bike! There's a used 2017 with 750 miles for like $9000 out in NC so I plan on getting that. Should be here in about a week.

That's the issue. 23, 3 speeding tickets, live in a bad part of town. It's $5600 for the 458 and $1200 for the bikes and Escalade. I have a $2.5M umbrella as well just in case and that runs me about a few hundred a year.

Some insurance companies don't even allow a 458 and my age. I tried shopping around and State Farm straight up shut me down.

I have a Z4 so I know how fun those little light weight cars are! Did you have a tune or any perfomance upgrades? The Z4 is a monster for how little it weighs!

I try to be safe, but things get out of control! I stick to the track for the hardcore driving. Are you picking up a F90 anytime soon? I can't drive the Escalade anymore. It's too damn big. Either swapping it for a 2019 G63 or a RR SVR. I considered the F90, but waiting for the comp pack to drop so I can pick up one off lease.

Luckily, the one I bought has carbon fiber everything on the inside and a good chunk of the exterior is too. I need a CF rear diffuser, mirrors and front lip. $8,000 for those 3 parts... The Ferrari tax is real! You going to upgrade the G wagon to the new model?

Yes, You are lucky!
Carbon dashboard is ~8k euro net. but i had not choce, that was the youngest and lowest milage car available so far... so equipment was on second place...

Yes, in the future I'm going to buy new G63, interior is so much better but i don't like the thing that new G class is "more oval" then 463 model. So probably - I'll keep both - G500 will curry my dog for rides
