BPMSport - F10 M5 Performance Tune

www.bpmsport.com | info@bpmsport.com | 1-(888) 557-5133

We're happy to announce that we're now offering our F10 M5 performance tune! Although we could have brought forth a "piggyback tune" to the market much sooner than our flash tune, we decided against it. We strongly believe that a proper tune should have complete control over every aspect of engine management, rather than using piggybacks to "trick" the ECU's into making more power. We've spent countless hours developing the software that utilizes the hidden potential of the S63's twin turbo setup without jeopardizing engine safety and reliability. Our Competition Package M5 from the factory is putting down north of 500 WHP! The F10 M5 is no slouch, however we wanted to safely extract what is left on the table. Non Competition Package M5's are rated at a lower horsepower rating and will have see an even greater power gain.

We dyno'd our Competition Package F10 M5 on a Dyno Jet during a very warm summer day with 91 Octane. The end results put a smile on our faces!

Baseline: 552 WHP, 544 TQ. (Competition Package M5)

Stage I: 624 WHP, 612 TQ

End results are peak gains of ~80+ WHP and ~100+ TQ!! The environmental conditions were not in our favor, reading 92 degrees Fahrenheit and 40% humidity. There is no doubt that the car would have read higher if the ambient temperatures were lower and if we used a higher octane fuel.

Here are a few videos of the dyno runs:

We will offer two stages for our performance tune: Stage I is for lightly modified vehicles with the stock catalysts and Stage II is for vehicles with catless downpipes, high-flow cats, etc.

What else does our F10 M5 tune offer?

Our tune includes the following:
  • Boost Optimization for cars equipped with either the Mechanical or Electronic Wastegate
  • Reprogrammed Torque Management
  • Fuel Octane Ignition Optimization (91, 93, E85 Blend, etc.)
  • Suppression of the Increased Emissions Warning for Exhaust Changes
  • Optimized Throttle Response Changes In All Modes *Optional
  • Top Speed Limit Removal *Optional
  • Cold-Start Delete *Optional

How do I go about getting this tune?

For now we will have to physically flash the ECU's on the bench at our local facility in Southern California. You can either bring your DME's to us locally or have them shipped. If you're waiting on flashing via OBD, then we're hoping to release this to the public in the upcoming weeks.

You won't be disappointed. The dyno above was on our 2014 M5 that went to a new owner today, but we've been developing software for it since last year.

Our 2015 Singapore Grey Comp pack M5 will be at the dyno all day Tuesday, so we'll have more graphs and info to share

I am now the proud owner of Mike's 'old' M5 pictured in the dyno. The car is utterly amazing. It is far away the hardest accelerating car I've ever been in when you are on throttle, but drives like a perfect lady around town when you don't feel like being a hooligan. My wife can drive it with no issues, which is saying something. Pulls like a freight train from all the way down low until redline and the next shift, then it does it again and again. If you are thinking about this upgrade and are on the fence - don't be. You too will be amazed.

Thanks for the positive feedback! Happy to hear you're enjoying the beast.

We will also be updating this thread with our latest dyno results on our Grey Competition Package M5 within the upcoming week.

Yes, we've been developing software for this vehicle before we had physical programming access to the ECU's since the fourth quarter of 2014.

Hey Mike, I'm local and would like to know if it's possible to bring the car into your shop to have the tune done or do I need to have the ECU removed and bring that into you?

You will gain an additional ~40 hp. We're in the process of developing downpipes for our F10 M5. This is just an estimate, it may be more.

We recently dyno tested our second Competition Package F10 M5 on the same dyno we tested our Frozen White Competition Package F10 M5. This time we wanted to showcase the difference between Non-Competition Package Cars vs M5's with our tune, so we flashed the car with the standard Non-Competition Package Software to read a baseline.

Modifications: Bone Stock with 93 Octane & Charcoal Filter Delete
Non-Competition Package Software Baseline: 512 WHP, 487 TQ.
Stage I: 637 WHP, 561 TQ.

End results show a ~125 HP Gain and ~75 TQ Gain.

Dyno Results:

Here's a video demonstrating the Top Speed Limit Delete on the dyno:

OBD Flashing is still in the work of progress and should be released in the upcoming weeks!

So the competition package with 91 octane :

552 to 624 whp

544 to 612 tq

NON competition package with 93 octane :

512 to 637 whp

487 to 561 tq

Ok the torque values are always lower in the non CP but after the tune it has more power then the CP? Is it because of the fuel?

Depends on how they tuned it, but yes more power on 93>91.
Maybe they should check if the intake has the holes, put on coverplates (maybe they did it) and have more gains over stock!

You guys realize that Mike will be the first person in the world to do a remote tuning in this really difficult engine right?!

I don't think people realize how great that is. It requires many hours by the computer and the car. More than buying his tune, in my book he deserves a tap in the back and a WELL DONE SIR! Thank you for tuning may car from Cali, U.S since im in Bern, Switzerland and drive to you or dismounting my car (rendering it useless) seams silly.

How come none of the other tuners thought about pushing the envelope to this level?! Oh we did but its too difficult, we just cant figure it out.....bitch please! Its your job, be professional about it, push forward.

This is why I cant stress this enough, deliver your cars to true professionals. Most of the tuners in the business don't develop their own files. They just buy them from specialists like Mike and sell them to you for double the price. They know just how to connect the cables and upload the files. Great!

And yes I know his work for a long time. My M3 usually kicked every other M3s ass and it wasn't because of the M Performance Exhaust eheh

Did you get your car tuned remotely over OBD? Or did you send in ECUs? If you got it OBD, that is nice
