How are your wives/partners in M talk.

My wife can take about 3 minutes of M car talk before saying enough with the kids joining in then leaves the room!
When we have guests she actively joins in when the subject comes up and can bring up things..she suggested I put on the 305's with spacers which I am in the process of doing.

Get those 305s on asap. We have 12-14 degrees celcius weather today and Mine was like AWD coming off roundabouts with a nice crack from exhaust at end of 2nd. As long as you have the Michelin PS4s to go on you'll be good.

When I talk M language I just get a smile, I know I'm boring.

I’ve been M talking for a while, and had a 1minute limit to talk cars. It’s been revoked now due to multiple infringements and a total ban has now been enforced. Good job I have this forum and a few good fellow M car nuts.

Mine’s totally about my cars and Ms. I told her before we got married that my car habit was big and got expensive. She just bought me a low mileage Imola e39 M5 for my birthday. I think she’s well trained

My fiancé knows nothing about cars, she drives a hospital door blue citroen c1 that she loves but when I swapped my f10 520d for my M5 she had no idea what she was getting into.

She thought it was just a higher spec version of what I had so imagine the scream she let out as I nailed it in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear lol. I think she screamed for a full 5 seconds and those 5 seconds converted her. She bloody loves this car, has told me that it can never ever be sold, I think she likes it more than me!!!!

I will be getting her in to a 220i in the next couple years but truth be told I want to get her an M2 if funds allow, that is the least she deserves for having such enthusiasm in the M5 and not telling me to shut up when I am in full ///M bore mode.

I had a run of M cars a few years ago including an E60 M5 and had to sell when divorce struck so went sensible. It was a little over six years since my E60 and a string of oil burners. I told her what a weapon the car is but she didn't believe me. Was fun turning her in to a believer - it took about 30 seconds!!!

Life is too short to say no. If you can afford it then do it. Always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Compared to the E60 the F10 is bloody economical but compared to the 520 it is a real drinker. My 520 sat around 35mpg but my M5 is around 15mpg but then I don't fart about in it and worry about mpg. I just fill it up and boot it - lots.

So there's a slightly inclined of a straight stretch of road with a decent speed limit on it coming directly off a slow roundabout....in my old stock 335i I used to enjoy approaching that roundabout because of the exit and what awaited afterwards....the wife used to get nervous knowing what was in store for her every time we came to that roundabout....can you imagine what an M5 will do up that hill lol

The M5 turns long roads into short roads very easily, had a good weekend driving and covered 200+ miles the M5 is just only at 30% most of the time as the roads we have are too twisty or short.

Its a proper car though
