I have an Exhaust Meister, which installs in-line of the vaccuum line in the trunk. It comes with a pair of key fob remote controls as well, that control the opening and closing of the exhaust valves. Was super simple to install, and I ended up programming the mirror remote control buttons to work with the Exhaust Meister instead of using the supplied fobs.
If you want to try before you buy, you can always pickup a pair of hose clamps from Home Depot and manually keep the valves open.

I'm happy with the remote operator on my exhaust Meister when I go into inner city then no one can hear me coming when I'm in the dodgy part of town I have to drive into.
