Oh, I like that idea. I didn't know that was an available coding option. Any recommendations for a coder in the Downtown L.A. area? Or can/would the BMW dealer do it for me?

1) I would like more space in the back. RWD cars are generally a bit cramped in the back due to the tranny hump, but as I have said before, BMW can adjust the seat designs to add an extra inch in the back easy.
2) ACC and self driving features would be nice but that would require putting electric steering in the car. I love the steering in the M5 and hopefully they don't eff it up when they use electric (steering feel etc) 3) Improved car infotainment would be nice. Would be great to get Apple Play and Google integration in the car. Would love to just enter the name of the restaurant or hotel, as in Gmaps, and the mapping figures out the address. 4) Better, louder sounding exhaust would be awesome.

Here is my list. To be fair, I went from a sports car to this because I needed the room (kids). I paid for the comp package because I wanted the swiss army knife that does everything..
That said - 1) Comfort mode is way too laggy - I find the loaner cars more peppy around town than my car which is sad. 2) TRACTION - TRACTION - TRACTION... The power is great but on non track roads, the tires spin constantly!! I had the tires spinning at 120 mph and as a result was having trouble keeping up with much less HP cars... 3) For such a HUGE car, I find the back seat space not very usable for adults (knee *******. This is funny because I bought the car for the kids and for work dinners, etc. but everytime I need to use the back seat, I take my wife's Range Rover because it is more comfy. 4) make the dash smaller - passenger side is silly - people are hitting their knees on the glove box... 5) Stop growing - this thing is enormous!!!!!! needs to be low and wide. This is a family sports car, not a sporty family car... |
