There's no need to go back to stock. Its recommended but not required.

Go to Diagnostic > DME Read it will save your current map I believe
Since you have a 2011 M5 you can also try to update your iStep level before activating BM3 if u just want to wipe your current tune.

UPDATE:

V52 pushed out last night has a number of enhancement updates and fixes. We've changed some of the agent's connection handling with the car as dash starts, logs start/stop, leave/re-enter the dashboard screen, run diagnostics making things much more zippy. Sporadic issue that would cause a blank log on v50-v51 of the agent at times has also been been resolved.

On the server we managed to also significantly speed up saving of map updates (e.g. map config save, saving changes in the table editor, getting OTS maps, sending map requests, etc). There was also a fix for the web/apps to the dashboard screen that at times on re-entry to the dashboard would show all the gauges stacked on top of each other.

Web and Android updates are out already, iOS v52 should hopefully be out on the app store some time today (awaiting apple review since last night).

****NOTE: Ensure you update your OBD Agent to v52 released late last night. If using the WiFi device get the latest SD card image and restore as we've updated the agent 'updater' on it and here's a link to it:

https://bootmod3.atlassian.net/wiki/...irmware+Update

Previous versions of the agent will NOT update over the air as the location where updater gets the agent updates from changed. If using a laptop agent we suggest just downloading and reinstalling the latest from www.bootmod3.net/downloads even if you possibly got v52 earlier yesterday ****

Hiya - quick question (I hope).

I flashed my car for the first time using the OTS Stage 1 tune. The flash went through smoothly, but my intent was also to turn off the cold start (I love my Soul exhaust, but my neighbors don't). I went back to the maps and the OTS Stage 1 tune, but this time clicked the "Config" button, turned off cold start, saved and flashed a second time.

The flash appeared to be successful, but the car is still going through its normal cold start. Did I miss something?

Thanks!

Sorry, follow up question. Should I be adjusting the RPMs, as well, or is simply switching the cold start option off sufficient?

Thanks

No that is just for custom rpm

Just cold start (cat heating) OFF and save but make sure you give it aminute to configure the new settings and then flash the map again

BMS OTS Stage 1 Tune on an otherwise completely stock car should produce how much HP/TQ? Also what supporting mods need to be completed? I keep seeing lots of spark plug talk.

0.10.072 app update is out for iOS, Android and Web:

Changes include:
- Fixes for layout (single column for dash in portrait mode) on Android Samsung devices
- Datalog viewer zoom in/out fix
- Scrolling fix for dashboard on iOS and Android
- Layout mode/repositioning activated through popup menu (press and hold on any gauge). Double-tap anywhere to exit layout mode.
- Double-tap on any gauge to start/stop datalogging (no button to press, its removed, tap anywhere instead)
- Top bar on the dash screen is removed for a cleaner look and getting valuable screen real estate back. Top bar is preserved on non mobile devices
- Visual indicator (infinite scroll progress bar) across the top of dash to indicate logging is running
- Visual indicator of agent status across the top in the dash when no connection to OBD/agent
- Fix for comments form on tune requests/maps going away as keyboard would come up. Now stays.
- OBD Agent Min version stays at 0.10.071 (i.e. no agent update)

Looking at the bootmod3 OTS maps. Just looking for guidance as im after a HCP stage 2 mild burble... is the hcp tune listed as “protuningfreaks”? Also im guessing the map dated 2019-01-24 is the latest one (BETA) that i should be going for?
