Anyone Has Owned Audi S8 before/after/during Owning M5 F10
I wonder if there is any one here who has owned Audi S8 (between 2013 and 2017) before / during / after owning BMW M5 F10!
If anyone, can you please share your thoughts? Thanks in advance...

I traded my 13 M5 in for a 15 S8. The Audi is a fantastic car. Big, comfortable, luxurious, and most importantly it is fast and handles really well. I had the Audi for about 2 years then traded for a 2017 GLS 63. I'll be totally transparent-I wish I never got rid of the Audi. In all fairness i can't compare my M5 with my S8 because I bought a manual M5 and IMO the F10 shouldn't have been offered in a manual. Now with that being said, I'm expecting delivery of a 2016 comp pack M5 on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week and I'll be looking to sell my GLS63.

Thanks for sharing your experience and congrats on the 2nd M5 F10... enjoy it.
It seems you have not enjoyed the GLS or do not need a 7 passenger car!

I like the gls but would prefer driving a sedan...the gls has been in the shop for a couple minor things and I get an S class as a loaner-that's what made me start looking for another sedan. I considered am Sclass, an S8, and the M5..found the M5 first so that's what I went with.

A relative of mine has a 2015 S8. The audi's interior is really nice. However, both of us think the M5 drives much better, and I could never live with the Audi MMI system. The i-drive is so much more intuitive.

Had A8 and RS7. Fantastic cars. Smooth cars. Even the RS7 was smooth on freeways. I just wish M5 had the front suspension lift option. Comp Package lowers it and then comes the scrapes

I have had a lot of BMW's 24 total... Just got my first Audi. 2018 RS3. Super fast little rocket. Fit and finish quality isnt good. Far from the BMW driving feel (being glued to the road).
I dont know if their higher end cars are better or not. For a super fast AWD rocket it's great. Just makes me appreciate the BMW feel.

-have acquired a legion of 18-25 year old females obsessing over them through their campaigns and out of whack pricing making them a status quo for that audience just bc of pricing. ppl that dont know or would care anything about VW owning them and just putting partial lambo engines in them. i despise audi for those reasons. |

Anyways, I have a '13 S8, plenty of seat time in F10 M5s and have an F13 M6. There is little to compare between an M5 and an S8 besides both having 4 doors. The S8 is a 7 series competitor; it's much larger, with AWD, a softer air suspension, and generally just a sporty, very fast touring sedan. The M5 is smaller, RWD, and much more performance focused. I would be more willing to compare the RS7 to the M5 than the S8 (I've also owned an RS7). Drive both and decide what kind of car you want, trying to bill them as competitors is silly IMO.
