Tpms interchangeability 2013 and 2015

I have tried my best to find a definitive answer on this but so far I have failed.

I have seen a bunch of posts that they changed the tpms part numbers in 2014 and I have found the part numbers for each year but my question is, is it just an updated part or a totally different non interchangeable part? Will tpms from a 2013 work on my 2015?

No the newer one will not work in the 2013. The change over happened like mid 2014. They will fit, but the transmission frequency is different.

I’m surprised there isn’t more talk about it. When someone is selling a set of wheels here there never any mention of what year car they were on. I can’t believe they would change part numbers mid cycle. Definitely a bummer for the used wheel market.
