Good luck with the sale.
They look the part. I got a similar finish by using wet and dry sand paper on my chrome tips and then sprayed them with stove enamel and then some vht clear lacquer. I was well pleased with the result.

They look much better on the car than silver.

My CP tips are slightly corroded. And I need to do exactly this….
Are they easy to take off?

Must say they're really nice but I want to detract from the 'look at me' stance for the M5 back end and re-do what i've got; It's the same reason I replaced the M5 badge for a black one.

We are total opposites, I thought the back end just looked far too plain for an M car

I'd be a bit finicky about the product also paying that money for the endings and maybe expecting an import charge also.

Yes I was initially but total charge including import duty was £250 and the quality is excellent.

I suppose the price is not too bad being for an M, did you try to get something similar in UK first to avoid the charges etc or are they not as good as those.

Most of the UK ones come from abroad so I went directly to the manufacturer, a few friends have also bought them and other makes and the ones I have are definitely better quality.

I am very OCD about what I put on my car so wouldn't have settled for anything poor quality. I am all about OEM where possible

They just pull off. They are tight. If you get behind them with a small piece of wood and hit it a tap with a mallet. I got them off that way and just slid them on by hand. It's a cheap fix. If you want a soft sheen finish you can just use the stove enamel. I added the vht lacquer so I could clean them like my alloys.
