I don't think you will find an F10 M5 that's VAT qualifying as they are all 2 years old and I thought VAT Q cars had to be new or nearly new with a dealer.

You may have more luck with an F90 so try the BMW Used cars website

I don't know about the rules (in terms of age / qualifying period). However, this one from a BMW main dealer states that it's VAT qualifying:

As far as I'm aware, there are no limits on the age of the car if all previous owners have claimed the VAT back.

However, in order to reclaim VAT on a car purchase, the car must be used for business purposes only - this means that even using it to drive to/from work, or to pop into the shops to buy something for yourself (not covered by business expenses) en-route between meetings are excluded.

Should you do so, from a legal standpoint, you are evading tax.

I may just be cynical, but I just cannot see an M5 as being purely used for business purposes with absolutely no personal use at all... a 520D maybe, but not an M5.

A CP with a decent spec qualifying for vat business use,now that is interesting and unusual.

Thanks for the info guys. I want to export the car so vat qualifying is a big advantage for me. A 35k car becomes a 28k easily 😀
