M240I compared to M5

Posted a similar thread on the 2 series forum. Just to hear your view:

Is there any person that has driven both m240i (LCI) and f10 m5 (LCI)

How would you compare their driving dynamics

Which is more exhilarating?

Would you ever consider swapping m240i for f10 M5 or not

I also G30 520d I use for travelling and carrying family. it is the darling of the family and they do not want me to sell it but they don't care what I do to m240i.

It is just a consideration and thought and I am not desperate to swap

Please no snide remarks

Thanks

The M2 series was cool, but it's a step further from the M3 in terms of go cart track handling. Like talking vette compared to M5. One is singular job and M5 can do the job pretty well, and after 40 the M5 runs away. I'd bet even on a road course.
2 different cars, classes and sizes
Under 40mph the 2 series obviously, but your losing comfort and everything else above 40mph. Depends on what you value.

You already have a 5 series family hauler so why get another big heavy sedan? I'd say stick to something more sportier like M2 Comp or M4

yes .

i had a F10 active hybrid 5er and swapped to a m235i and now in a F10 M5!

no comparison really. M5 just blows the m235i away.

but... I had a manual m235i and was fun to drive. depends on what you want.

I miss the 2er for sure. for daily driving the manual was a pain on town, however more than enough power ( I had it to 370 hp).

2er was tight in the corners but it's a smaller car. quality on the 5er is obviously a step ahead than the 2. that's what I issued when I went down from the 5 to 2.
