What app are you using on your phone to play music? There is internal volume on the google application for music that you have to turn up.
It should work fine. Make sure you also choose a bluetooth device under media.

Yep checked and checked. I've been using NOte 2 and it's been working fine. HTC one just wont stream. it's crazy.

Haven't tried Google App but have tried Pandora and Spotify. Neither worked.

It's crazy. I tried another HTC one and same issue. I returned it and went with Iphone 5. sigh. Idrive works so well with Iphone, everything just works flawlessly. Now I need to jail break.
